Intellicode

Question

We have 2022 and Intellicode still can not prioritze suggestions. Local variables should be suggested first, then member variables, and so on (for example global functions in the same source file should be prioritized over all global functions of the whole project). Of course the types of variables should be taken into account. If I have "int a = " the suggestions should prioritze variables and methods of type int.

I have been using Visual AssistX and it is doing this perfectly since at least 2010. You can almost accept blindly the suggestions of Visual AssistX.
