Cannot deploy Azure Virtual Desktop using Getting Started Wizard - User realm discovery failed

Hello,

I have been trying to create an Azure Virtual Desktop for the first time using the Getting Started Wizard. Everything goes well until deployment. I always get the following exception:
UsernamePasswordCredential authentication failed: User realm discovery failed. (UsernamePasswordCredential authentication failed: User realm discovery failed. )

There are no other tenants, no other directory and this is not a hybrid AD configuration.

I've tried in different geographic regions, I've tried with and without the test account creation as part of the wizard. I've also tried adding the Desktop Virtualization Contributor role to my owner user.

It's always the same error. Would you know what can cause this? It is preventing me from moving forward with Azure.

    Hi,

    Just checking if you have MFA enabled for the account that is trying to join to the Azure AD? If yes then it is not recommended however you can check the detailed pre-requisites for the Azure Virtual Desktop deployment over here.

    What username type you are providing during the deployment?

    I was told that this issue had been escalated and I would get a response within 48 hours. Is this the case?

    Any other ideas anyone?

    Right now, I can't start using Azure Virtual Desktop. AWS never gave me any of these issues and support was quickly available over chat.

    The rep I had over chat told me that opening a ticket was an escalation but it seems that it takes more time to get answers here and leads to no better result. Is this truly escalated?
