    Hi @Glenn Maxwell ,

resizing an Azure VM is possible. Please take a look here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/resize-vm?tabs=portal#change-the-vm-size

Please be aware the Esv3-series is running on Intel CPUs and the Eadsv5-series utilizing AMD CPUs.
To avoid any issues maybe caused by switching the CPU type of the VM I would recommend to start with a Standard_E2ads_v5 (AMD CPU based VM) and switch to a E64-32ads v5 (AMD CPU based VM) at a later point of time.

    Hello Glenn,

Yes, technically it is possible, and you can resize. However, during the time of resizing, the sku size you are trying to resize is subjected to availability at that point in time.

    Divya.
