Dear Mr/Mrs

It seems tsi is going to be deprecated and also tsi explorer. I find a key staff tsi explorer because allows user to graph in a more easy vway variables that using other tools like PBI, Kivana, etc. that are based in a predefined dashboards somehow. Is it going alto to be deprecated tsi explorer for using with data explorer?. If the roadmaps for IOT are not clear or changing every year the effort to maintain a solution is very important and the benefit of Azure IOT is no longer clear.

Best regards,

    Hello @javi ,

first, although more users struggle with the deprecation of TSI, I do not agree this is an example reflecting the dedication to the whole Azure IoT ecosystem.

This is just a single resource, now replaced by a much more powerful solution in which new features are added each month.

Yes, it feels to me TSI has always been the "black sheep" of the Azure IoT family. Personally, I think it needed more TLC from both users and Microsoft. But now, even after two generations, it is replaced by Azure Date Explorer.

ADX comes without that very easy user interface (sliders, swimming lanes. etc.) so please make sure the product team hears about your thoughts. It's not March 2025 yet...

Check out this ADX feedback regarding Linear Timeline Charts. Please upvote it so the product team understands the need for this feature. Or add your own feedback, this is read by Microsoft!

Though, I found out ADX has so much more to offer compared to TSI (much more ingest possibilities, control over deletion of data, more powerful query language, etc.) so please invest some time to learn about what ADX can offer.

At this moment, ADX already supports building simple (dynamic) dashboards too. It's not the same but it's a good start.

I still miss that TSI slider convenience but now I have migrated to ADX after a steep learning curve, I feel so much more powerful with it.

You can start with learning ADX using free PluralSight course.
