Turn off on-premises sync attribute for some users

Hello,

We are migrating our users from Exchange On premise to Exchange Online.

We are using Ad Connect to have hybrid configuration.

At the same time we have an Identity manager tool that have a connector to Azure AD and we use it to create Azure Ad users in Office 365.

The thing is that we now have 2 synchronisations which some time conflicts..

Question :

  • Can we turn off AD connect synchronization for the users we've already migrated ? if Yes how to do this ?

    Hello,

    You have to go to the on Premise AD and do the following:
    Create a different OU
    Move users to the new OU

    Go to AD Connect
    Remove specific new OU from sync

    That's all
