Source backup Location for Azure Data studio migration

HI,
i am trying to migrate my SQL server Database to Azure SQL VM using Azure Data studio, can i place my backup files in the Azure File share which is mounted on my onpremise server, if yes how can i pass the file share name and credentials in the migration wizard. Thanks

    Hi, @SaikrishnaE Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform, thanks for posting the question and for using Azure Services.
    Yes, that is allowed, for faster migration recommended to run SHIR inside Azure VM instead of on-prem VM.
