Problem sending Out Of Office message

Hi,
I have a problem on an Exchange 2013 server (CU23). Automatic absence messages (OOF) are not sent to external senders (no problem internally).
Here is the error message that appears on each attempt:

{[{LRT=};{LED=501 Syntax error in parameters or arguments};{FQDN=};{IP=}]}

Only one send connector is configured (MailJet) in authenticated mode.
When I use a send connector without using SMTP relay, OOF messages are sent correctly.
I haven't tested other SMTP relays, but I think it's more related to the Exchange server because nothing goes out to MailJet (nothing in the logs).

Here is what I tested:

  • Server reboot
  • re-creation of the send connector
  • disable of the transport agent "DKIMSigner" which was in low priority
  • checking Exchange services (all started)

I don't know how long the problem has been present.
Do you have an idea ?
Thanks in advance

Sounds like a MailJet issue actually.
Where do you see that error? In the SMTP protocol logs? What else do they show?

Exactly, I see this error message in the SMTP protocol logs. I also see it in events via the "Get-MessageTrackingLog" command.
On the MailJet side, I have no trace of these messages.

So if you look at line 26, the mailjet server is doing the actual rejecting and the Exchange Server is just reporting it.
My guess is it doesnt like that Out of office messages have the mail from set to <>, even though that is legal.
You will prob need to talk to mailjet support
