Hi All,
SQL 2016 and onwards Polybase functionality is available. Can someone clarify whether CETAS is supported in SQL 2016 or is it just supported in SQL 2022.

The CETAS stands for CREATE EXTERNAL TABLE AS SELECT that allows to create an external table and export data into Hadoop or Azure Blob Storage. It is an acronym. Also, this available only with Azure SQL Data Warehouse and Parellel Data Warehouse. As NandanHegde-7720 found the document, it applies to: SQL Server 2022 (16.x) Preview and later.
In addition, you may be mixed up with CREATE EXTERNAL TABLE.
