I have DPM backup storage on a volume under the HCI cluster, the backup size has been growing in a crazy way during the last week and the disk is full, what's the best practice to clean up the disk and free space?

I can no more extend the disk size, the volume created 4 TB and it's full.

additionally, the backup volume is replicated to a volume in DR - HCI as well, the disk is full and the log disk as well.

any recommendation on how to free space in the data disk and log disk?

appreciated,

    Hi NoorEINammar,

    1. Clean up the log:
      Open the Event Viewer, where various log files are placed, select the log file you want to delete, and click "Clear Log" on the right;
    2. Clean up the disk:
      (1) Transfer Windows index files: Control Panel--Index Options--Advanced--Index Settings--Select a new location;
      (2) Turn off the sleep function: win+r and enter "cmd", run the command: powercfg -h off;
      (3) To clean up expired driver files, you can use related tools to clean up;
      (4) In addition, you can turn on the "Storage Sense" function to automatically clean up junk files on a regular basis.
    3. In addition, here is a link related to cleaning up DPM storage, I hope it can help you:
