Hello Team,

I hope you're doing fine,

I'm working on a new project to apply automatically Patches to our Windows-Linux VMs

For now, most of VMs are created with the option "Automatic by OS", Patches are installed automatically on the VMs, and the VMs are rebooted during the off hours, but in my opinion this is not a good configuration since we don't have the visibility when the patches are installed, and when exactly they are rebooted (Which is risky especially for Production VMs).

Since i'm new to Update management center, i thinked about this configuration and want it to share it with you, if you have advices please don't hesitate :

1-I will Work with Update management center (I looked in the internet that the old way was to use Update management, creating an automation account, link it to a log analytics, then do patch configuraiton and MS recommend now to use the new Update management center)
2-Create a maintenance Configuration for My VMs (Specifyng the scheduling, Updates to be included...)
3-Create an update Setting for periodic assesments
4-That's it

below my questions :

-Have you worked with Update management center ? is it Stable (since it is in preview)
-What do you think about my configuration ?

thank you in advance

    Hi there,

I use Update Management Center since Private Preview. It works better than ever before. I don't experience any issue now with my lab.
Your configuration is ok (orchestration by UMv2 is better for Enterprise orgs)
