Hi folks,

I am storing stale data from data verse table to azure data lake storage using Azure synapse Link. which actually stores data day by day for the whole year. ex, each day it transforms 10-50 records to azure data lake.

So my file size in azure data lake storage will increments day by day. so here i want to know how will be the pricing calculated for storing and updating file in azure data lake? it will also costs for write operations which executes for each day?

Hello @Charles Michel Beskie (For Azure) ,
Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.
As we understand the ask here is how storing the data in ADLS gen2 is going to be charged and if the writing operation will be charged , please do let us know if its not accurate.

When you write the data to ADLS Gen2 , you will be charged . Please read the document here for more clarity . Since you are archiving the data , I think you should use the Archive tier .https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/storage/data-lake/

Yes writing operation will also cost , please look at the Transaction details .

Please do let me if you have any queries.
    Thanks
    Himanshu
