I’ve read that there is an Azure Quantum credit. Is that different from the Azure free trial? Can I still use the Azure Quantum credit after my 30 Azure free trial has ended?

The Azure Quantum Credits program FAQ is the definitive source for your answers with current offer information, but the following questions and answers may provide additional clarity on what options are available to you outside of the $200 credit form the Azure free account.

What should I do once the 30 day trial on my Azure free account expires?
By upgrading to a pay-as-you-go subscription, you are able to take advantage of $500 in Azure Quantum Credits to use with each participating quantum hardware provider. This is automatically available to first-time users once you create a new Azure Quantum workspace. Once you've used all of your credits, you only pay for the services you use and can cancel anytime. Note that there may be some small storage costs, typically less than 1MB per job. For more information, please read the Azure Quantum Credits and the Azure Quantum pricing documentation.

Does the $200 Azure free account credit overlap with the $500 free Azure Quantum Credits?
No. These are two completely separate offers/credits. Using your Azure free account credits will not affect your free Azure Quantum Credits or vice versa.

What are the requirements for the $500 Azure Quantum Credits?
The only requirement to get $500 in Azure Quantum Credits is to create an Azure Quantum workspace which can be done on a pay-as-you-go subscription. All subsequent workspaces will share this credit.

Will I be charged if I use Azure Quantum services on a Pay-as-you-go subscription while using my $500 free Azure Quantum Credit?
There are no costs or charges for using your free credits however there may be some small storage costs. The input and output of your credits jobs (typically less than 1MB) are stored in a storage account which you will be billed for. For more details, see Azure Blob Storage pricing.

How long do I have to use my $500 free Azure Quantum Credits?
Please use your $500 free Azure Quantum Credits within 6 months.

Is it possible to get more than $500 using the Azure Quantum Credits program?
Besides the $500 free Azure Quantum Credits you automatically get when you create a new Azure Quantum workspace, Microsoft offers educational institutions, companies, and some other approved organizations up to $10,000 in extra Azure Quantum Credits for use on quantum hardware.
