Windows Autopilot - Computer naming convension

Hi All,

Need some advice on Windows autopiloting which is successful for Azure AD join and Hybrid AAD join type.

The machine are joining to the domain and it is taking prefix value which we set in domain join profile policy. Now i would like to know, Is it possible to Set Prefix+Department Name+Sequencial numbers. Department name and sequencial number is dynamic, so is it possible to set this names. Please advice

While creating the Domain Join configuration profile in Intune, the Computer names are 15 characters long and only allows a prefix followed by a random set of characters.

For your situation, you can add Windows Autopilot Group tag for the computers in different department. And set different Dynamic groups for different departments. Then deploy different domain join profiles for them. Here is a link for your refence:
