Hi,

I need some help/guidance to setup Disaster recovery from Azure region to another azure region.

My internal application is running in East US and I want to replicate the same application and data in Azure West US region. How to accomplish this setup.

Note: From On-prem, I am using S2S VPN connectivity to azure cloud and accessing the internal applications.

Thanks,

Hi @Prakash Srinivasan Thank you for reaching out to us on Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to help!

I see that you are planning to set up disaster recovery for your application running on Azure VM to another region (East US --> West US). To accomplish your scenario, you need to set up disaster recovery to a secondary Azure region for an Azure VM. For guidance follow the link - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/azure-to-azure-quickstart

Hope this helps. Feel free to reply if you need further assistance!
    Update:

I think you are talking about MySQL which is PaaS and it will have its own DR Capability - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/mysql/single-server/concepts-business-continuity for VMSS, YOU can still think of DR. However VMSS workloads are stateless. So, not sure if it will still be required. If you need further assistance, I suggest contacting Azure technical support team by raising a support ticket. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue. Here is the link - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request to create support case. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
