VPN gateway local connection

Hi..

When we have internet connection issue and site-2-site from on-prem to azure broken, how long local connection on azure VPN gateway will detect this connection down?
This morning we have internet connection issue and after more than 10 minutes, local connection on azure VPN gateway still detect this connection as 'connected'

Are you sure that you have no connectivity at all, for example it's not just a routing or DNS issue?

Can you see if you can access the health probe of your VPN gateway from your on premises location - https://<YourVirtualNetworkGatewayIP>:8081/healthprobe

If you can reach this then you are still connected.

Yes i mean my internet is down but in azure local connection still detected as 'connected', i just want to know how long azure will detect this connection to 'not connected' because i already wait more than 10 minutes and the status still 'connected'

I believe the default is 45 seconds. The fact it is still stating connected would make me think that there is still some connectivity there even though you may be experiencing Internet access issues.
