Hi,
I am trying to explore Azure Synapse Analytics solution.
I have tried the tutorial provided in the Azure portal. As per the pricing model dedicated pool is charged based on the hours it is running and the storage of the data.
The data I have tried to load is in few MBs(around 50) and the time the queries run is for less than 10 sec each.
My questions:
1- The queires that ran is altogether is for 50 seconds approximatly but the charges that are made is around $3. As per synapse pricing dedicated pool will be charged for $1.20/hour which is contradicting with what I was charged.
2. The instance was paused for a day and still I see some charges added (approximatly $0.80). I am I doing something wrong here?

The setup script of the tutorial creates several resources, for which you pay:

    • dedicated sql pool DW200c, which in westeurope region costs €1.511/hour
    • data explorer pool with capacity 2 (not the minimal one)
    • Apache spark pools (with at least 3 nodes)
    • storage account

If you have tried all the components, then you have paid for them as well.
