Not able to get customer detailed information when creating an appointment via the MS Bookings page

When I use the MS Bookings page to create an appointment (providing name and email address of the customer) and I ask for the appointment details with the API, I get only the customer ID and not the detailed information of the customer (no name or email defined).
If I then try to access the customer details through the API with the customer ID, I get a 500 error.

If I create the appointment through the API instead, providing the name and email of the customer, this time I get the name and email in the appointment details through the API and I am also able to get the customers details with the customer ID through the API.
In both cases I am using Application permissions in order to use the API.

I should be able to get the same result if I am creating the appointment via the API or the MS Booking page.
