Cosmos DB mongo api unique keys

Following up on this old thread
When creating a new mongo db cosmos collection there is no option for using unique keys as opposed to NoSql containers

Back than the feature was removed temporarily but hasn't returned since

Is it totally removed and replaced using unique indexes feature which is available using scripting only?

If I understand correctly you want to know when unique keys will be available for mongo db API
We are very close to introducing a feature that removes the limitation requiring unique indexes to be created on empty collections. however, we do not have any ETA to share currently.
