Cannot access terminal jupyter in compute instance

Hi I've been following the Azure for data science course on coursera and i've encountered the following problem.

After creating a compute instance, i cannot access jupyter, terminal and kernels.

After some research i've tried to disable avast protection for websockets, microsoft firewall but to no avail.
I've also tried to restart and even create new compute instances but it didn't solve the problem.

funny thing, it worked for the first time i used it and then not.

the compute istance has France for its location , Standard_DS11_v2 (2 cores, 14 GB RAM, 28 GB disk) for the VM size and CPU for the processing unit.

the troubleshooting page says that i should configure my workspace to allow websocket connections, how do i enable them?

Any advice?

@Louis GENILLIER Could you add a link to the course that you are following to check the steps that are used to create a compute instance?
The detailed steps from the documentation are here to check, I am not sure if the coursera document is updated with all the latest changes related to a compute instance creation/management.
AFAIK during creation of compute instance you need to enable SSH access from advanced settings to enable access to the terminal. Access to Jupyter and other applications will be available to the user who created the instance or other users if RBAC roles are assigned.

Also, have you enabled virtual network during the creation of the compute instance?

Only the creator of a specific compute instance, or the user assigned if it was created on their behalf, is allowed to access Jupyter, JupyterLab, and RStudio on that compute instance. A compute instance is dedicated to a single user who has root access. That user has access to Jupyter/JupyterLab/RStudio running on the instance. Compute instance will have single-user sign-in and all actions will use that user’s identity for Azure RBAC and attribution of experiment jobs. SSH access is controlled through public/private key mechanism.

If all the above criteria are true but if are unable to access the same, then the most likely reason is the compute instance has not started successfully.

Thanks. If you select the enable SSH access option, then the option to access the terminal should be available as seen in screenshot.
