Add thousands of custom domains to Azure Web App or Static web app

Hi. We need to add multiple custom domains (will get to thousands) to an azure static web app and/or azure web app. The problem is the quota when it comes to adding custom domains to the web apps (up to 5 depending on your plan).

It seems one option would be to use the Front Door to manage the custom domains, however, the front door also has its limitations (up to 500 custom domains). An option would be to deploy multiple Front Doors, however, overtime it would become too complex to manage (and expensive).

So, what I am looking for is another option to achieve what I need as "simple" as possible. Also, the SSL certificates would be a must, therefore being able to use free SSL certs for the custom domains added to Azure would be non-negotiable.

    As you've already determined, the maximum number of 500 custom domains per AFD profile. And even those profiles have routing limits. If you can't mitigate through the use of wildcard domains, then you will need to create a support request to request a quota request.
