StorageFile.CopyAsync fails to copy encrypted files to unencrypted destination workaround

I have files deployed with my app which it copies to the app's local folder, and it appears to be failing and I think this may be the issue causing it.

The issue mentioned in the document happens on Xbox. Are you running your app on Xbox as well? Please share the code snippet that you are using and share us the information about your scenario.

Hi Roy,

Yes, the app is running on Xbox. It works fine on Windows and in Xbox dev mode, but not in Xbox retail mode - it fails when I try to call the CopyAsync function on a storage file that was deployed with the app, so I believe this is probably the issue causing it. I have tried System.IO.File.Copy and that failed too. Basically, I just want to know if there is any official work around for this issue? Like for example, is there a way to copy the file without encryption attributes?

No, there is no workaround for this known issue now.

The UWP tag only handles questions about UWP developing questions on desktop. Questions about Xbox development is not supported.
