Hi,,
i have a Dell 7559 laptop with a 960M GTX Nvidia card, core i7-6700 and 6GB of RAM. EVERY-single-time the Nvidia driver gets installed i get BSOD DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. this is whether it installs through Microsoft windows update, whether i install it manually, whether i install it before the other drivers, or after, or in any order. using windows 11 or 10, or using the Dell official recovery software. whether i reformat the drive or fully clean it. as soon as the Nvidia driver starts installing, my computer gives the BSOD blue-screen and then will no longer boot up whatsoever. ive tried startup repair, uninstalling feature or service pack updates, restoring, etc. the only way to get it to boot even a little is to either completely reset the pc, reformat the hard drive, or boot into safe mode .. ive tried getting this computer going with different hardware even to see if there is a difference, nothing makes a difference (ive tried different RAM, m.2, sata III harddrive, etc) ... I've also tried different versions of Nvidia driver. ive tried the oldest, the newest , and some in between. no difference. and also i ve tried only installing the driver with no additional components (through custom install, and only check the Nvidia driver)..
i have since given up on Dell and Nvidia drivers.
But now, i am using a Razer Blade with a GTX 1060 and Intel HD graphics 630 and i7 7700 and 16GB of RAM with an NVME Samsung EVO 970 1TB. And it has also started doing the blue-screen BSOD "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION" ... which make NO SENSE. i always keep drivers updated (both graphics cards), windows updated (windows 11), softwares updated (GeForce, Intel and Razer softwares) ...
im trying to figure out why this error is becoming more and more prevalent across multiple pcs and what exactly the relationship is between this annoying error and the graphics cards, if ANY.
its REALLY starting to seem like this is a complete 'planned obsolescence' thing on Nvidia's part to get you to buy a new graphics card every year. and it seems like Microsoft is in on it too. if this REALLY was a graphics driver issue, Nvidia or Microsoft would have taken care of it by now. but it really seems like theres no real explanation or possible fixes to this issue and it can happen to ANY device that is even slightly outdated.
I want to know if Microsoft or Nvidia is even ATTMEMPTING to resolve any of these BSOD DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION errors. can anyone tell me what the hell is going on???
and is it the same companies that make our products (like Nvidia and Microsoft) that we have to watch out for now instead of just watching out for viruses, spyware trackers etc.. .
