Error 105077 While Connecting Oracle Using PolyBase 2019 Data Vitualize feature from Azure data studio

Im trying to connect to Oracle database from Azure data Studio, I am facing the below error while connecting.

105077 ; the specified location string '[SYS].[ALL_USERS]' could not be parsed. A 2-part identifier was found. Exptected 3.

I checked the connectivity using udl file and tnsping. Everything works fine. Can anyone help in this case please

As I understand from the question, you are getting Error: 105077 ; the specified location string '[SYS].[ALL_USERS]' could not be parsed. A 2-part identifier was found. Exptected 3. when trying to connect Oracle and Azure Data Studio.

Could you please make sure that the location specified as a three-part identifier separated by dots. The first being the database (and domain), the second the user schema, and the third the table name.

This should help. Please share screenshot how you are using in ADS if unable to proceed.

I am still facing the issue. I belive the issue is something related to oracle drivers. Anyhow please view the screenshot . TNSPING, connectivity through UDL works fine.

Hi @Nawaz ,

As I understand, your issue is still not solved.

I would request you to please go through the link quickstart-oracle and check if all configuration is proper for connection.
And as said, you could check Oracle drivers part too.

And could you please share more details about the Polybase you have mentioned in the issue subject.

Hope we will find a solution.

Hi,

Step1 :- I have installed the SQL Server 2019 with polybase features .

Step2 :- I have enabled the polybase feature

Step3 :- I have Installed Oracle client, Checked the connectivity with oracle db using tnsping and UDL files. It was
successful

Step4 :- I have now opened Azure data studio, installed extensions for oracle and tried Virtualize data i.e, tried connectcing the oracle database. This step fails with

105077 ; the specified location string '[SYS].[ALL_USERS]' could not be parsed. A 2-part identifier was found. Exptected 3.

Step 5 :- I did everything mentioned here quickstart-oracle

But the connectivity issue persists. Dont know what to do
