Can I use Azure DCsv2 instances for gaming workloads?

I am looking to run gaming workloads on DCsv2 given the high frequency and high performance of the instance. But given this is a desktop grade chipset and not server grade, what limitations will I run into?

    Hi @KD ,

You can use any Azure virtual machine instance for gaming, some instances perform better than others because of their performance throughput.
For gaming you would seek for more storage throughput (IOPS/MBps) but also GPU performance, games especially require GPU performance but this again depends on the games you want to play.

If you're looking for heavy gaming, then you might want to look at the NC, ND & NV-series which are more GPU optimized VMs:

    Hello !

NC, ND & NV-series are not available outside the United States. What are the vm with similar characteristics that could be in Central France?

    Thank you,
