Windows 10 Update Ring: Inconsistent Data shown

I’m currently piloting the Windows 10 Update Ring and I am seeing inconsistent data being shown on the portal.

For example, on the Overview, it displays 9 devices as “Succeeded” on Profile Assignment Status.

However when I click on that for more details, only 8 devices are Succeeded and 1 is on Pending.

In addition, on the End User Update Status, devices will drop off mysteriously and re-appear on the portal for no particular reason. As you can compare on those screenshots above & below, there are several devices that are not showing up on that section. Also the portal would display a Failed on Update Status when in fact the device is fully up to date.

I have experienced similar issue previously that seems to be because the data sync is not stable with backend in Intune. You can click Refresh option to manually sync the status of Update Ring. For root cause analysis, it may need to capture logs when issue reproduce. It is better to create a free online support ticket to solve this issue more effectively. Here is the link:

Keep in mind that The profile assignment status overview only show you if the wufb policy has been assigned to the device, it does not tell you if one or more updates has been Installed.
