SCOM Management server version upgrade

Question

Hi,

We have a request to upgrade the version of Management server in SCOM. We are using SCOM 2012 R2 whose Product version is 7.1.10226.1177 and version of Management server is 7.1.10226.0 and reuqirement is to upgrade it to 10.x.

Could it be possible as the reason I am asking, on MS agents are not installed. If possible, how could it be achieved as it will not be possible through MMA deployment via SCCM.

Indirect upgrade paths to SCOM 2019:

SCOM 2012 R2 -> SCOM 2016 -> SCOM 2019
SCOM 2012 R2 -> SCOM 1801 -> SCOM 2019

Seems like we have to upgrade the SCOM version to change the version of Management server.
