Hi We want to install the Feature release offline.
We can send it down and it caches it locally on the PC, and that works fine.
Two questions

  1. How can you tell if its all on the local PC. Normally we wait a couple of days just to be sure.
  2. Can we get the user to click on the OS update in Software Center, when they are at home and not connected to the SCCM server? We have tried but it says the software could not be found on any servers at this time

Thanks. As I have said we have done this. We know how to setup the pre-cache. I have left it for three days (1 GB connection), so I guess all the files are now on the PC. When not on the network, clicking to run the Task Sequence, it says "the software could not be found on any servers at this time". I do wish that MS wouldn't just do half a job. There doesn't even seem to be reporting when the files are cached. And we can't even see where it stores the OS files on the local computer!!. Other packages / applications that are part of the Task Sequence are in the normal place.
