How to configure SSRS?

First off, the SQL Server Reporting Services is not showing up in the SQL Server Configuration Manager. It does show up as running in the Services. Second, I'm configuring the Web Service URL to something below with URL: http://db22:80/ReportServer

When I click the apply button on this configuration page, I get this error.

So when I access the page http://db12/Reports page, I get this error on the IE browser.

ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following error was encountered while trying to retrieve the URL: http://db22/Reports

Unable to determine IP address from host name db22

The DNS server returned:

Name Error: The domain name does not exist. This means that the cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL. Check if the address is correct.

Your cache administrator is webmaster.

Help is much appreciated.

    Hi @CharlieLor ,

If you are using Internet explorer, you may take a look, if any proxy settings are enabled.
    Please follow these steps.
    a) Open Internet Explorer
    b) Click Tools
    c) Click Internet Options
    d) Click the Connections tab
    e) Click LAN settings
    f) Uncheck any boxes that are in the Proxy server section
    g) Click OK
    h) Close Internet Explorer.

Please also have a check if you are using VPN or not, if yes, please disconnect it for test.

I did some research online, please also make sure there is nothing wrong with the certificate 'db'.

You may refer to this blog for SSL creating.

    Regards,

    Zoe

Okay, I'm trying to configure https for the SSRS and it's currently not working. The certificate is for https://db22.dept1.loans.com but when I access the URL in both Web Portal URL and Web Service URL both shows:

    http://db22:80/Report_SMC
    https://+:443/Reports_SMC

    http://db22:80/ReportServer_SMC
    https://+:443/ReportServer_SMC

    I need to show:

    http://db22.dept1.loans.com:80/Report_SMC
    https://+:443/Reports_SMC

    http://db22.dept1.loans.com:80/ReportServer_SMC
    https://+:443/ReportServer_SMC

I tried to follow this documentation but I couldn't get it to work. Step three said:

Click IP Address or Host Header Name. If you specify a host header, be sure to specify a name that the DNS service can resolve. If you are specifying publicly available domain name, include the whole URL, including https://www.

However, I couldn't specify the Host Header Name under the "Multiple HTTPS Identities for the currently Reporting Services feature". I can specify the host header in the "Multiple HTTP..." but it didn't keep the "db22.dept1.loans.com" part. It only keep the http and the port 80, that's it.

I have also tried this documentation.

To configure a static report server URL
Open the RSReportServer.config file in a text editor. By default, it is located at \Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS12.<instancename>\Reporting Services\ReportServer.

    Find ReportServerURL.

Replace it with the URL of the report server instance.

Save your changes and close the file.

However, it appears to not make any difference.

Okay, I was able to set the Web Portal URL and Web Service URL with this thread. However, now, when I access the page at https://db22.dept1.loans.com/Reports_SMC it prompts for password and user name. I don't know what user name and password it's asking for. I click cancel and the page is blank. Any suggestion?
