Hotmail keeps asking for password on apple mail in iOS 14.2

Hello,

Does anyone know how to solve the Microsoft issue with Hotmail on iOS 14.2.
My email client in iOS keeps asking for the mail password. I know this is a Microsoft issue since all my other email account (like iCloud and Gmail) do not have this issue.

I've already removed the Hotmail accounts and restarted my phone and tablet. But still Microsoft keeps asking for the password several times a day.
After I reentered the passwords it works for a couple of hours (sometimes days) but then it removes the account password again.

Help would be much appreciated.

I don't know if you have been able to solve the problem by now. After searching for a long time I think I found a solution. This worked for me in Apple Mail on Big Sur. Maybe it will help you and others who have the same problem.

I have the same annoying problem and still haven't fond the solution.
