Assistance required on multihoming SCOM agent in SCOM 2012 and SCOM 2019

Hi All,

we are planning to migrate from SCOM 2012 R2 to SCOM 2019 by performing side by side installation.
We would like to perform the above task by doing multi home.

Please confirm if the below link will help us to perform multihoming.

Please suggest if there is any better way to perform this.

FYI in our current environment(SCOM 2012 R2) we have agents running on operating systems windows 2012 and above versions.
