I have hyper-V 2016 environment with running VMs, and i have SAN storage (HPE 2050).
i have 2 Virtual machine with SQL Cluster.

Now i want to map the LUN direct to virtual machine (SQL1, SQL2)

so i attached create virtual san manager and attached this virtual san manager attached to VM. so i copied the wwnn number and put in storage as FC initiator and mapped the volume but that volume i unable to see in VM...

Please advise how to fix it.
Thanks

    Hi,
    You need enable NPIV in:
    Storage
Switch FC (comand Cisco FC Switchs)
HBAs (OneCommand Manager for Emulex HBA)
    You need to:
Create Virtual Port in every fisical server (OneCommand Manager for Emulex HBA)
Zone your WWNN/WWPN in your Storage.
Also please check if the requirements reported in this document are satisfied:

    Thanks for your time!

    Hi,
Thanks for your prompt reply, i have two doubts please clarify..
As we have one San connected direct to both host there is no San switch in between..

I have created the virtual San manager...

1- When i create virtual machine with generation 2 and attached the virtual San to vm so my vm doesn’t booth its give error..

2- When i create the virtual machine with generation 1 and after attached the Vsan its working fine

But when i create virtual machine with generation 1 so it’s working but when i use virtual machine wwpn number in SAN storage and map the volume so it doesn’t show under Guest Virtual machine
    Even i enable the mpio..

That lun showing in physical server not in guest vm
    Please answer
