I am using Azure File Sync and I am synchronizing a dedicated folder called "Volume1".

After the sync was enabled, I found a second folder called "Volume1 " with the space at the end on the drive of the server.
The folders has the same structure and permissions but the folder "Volume1 " has no files in it.
If I create a new subfolder in "Volume1" it is also created in "Volume1 ".

For what is this folder with the space at the end?
Is it for the file sync?

    Hi,

Where is this folder located? On the same server where you are syncing from?

Azure File Sync does not create a duplicate folder on the source server.

    How Azure File Sync works

The entirety of the Azure file share will be synced, with one exception: A special folder, comparable to the hidden "System Volume Information" folder on an NTFS volume, will be provisioned. This directory is called ".SystemShareInformation". It contains important sync metadata that will not sync to other endpoints.

    Best regards,
    Leon
