Can Microsoft Teams be used with non-exchange account team members? More specifically, I would like to use the shifts application to schedule our field crews for their project locations for the following week. Currently, we are using a third-party application but would like to streamline this into a single location. Everyone has private email addresses, but not exchange accounts with the organization. Thoughts on how to make this work???

    Hi,
To use Shift you do not need an Exchange mailbox connected to your O365 Account.
The users that need to use only Shift are perfect for the M365 F1 license, that’s the basic plan for First Line Workers, that are users with no PC, just a Smartphone. This plan give to users Teams and Shift among other service but no exchange mailbox.
    Hope this could help

    Hi Jimmy!

In my experience, you can use Microsoft Teams with non-exchange account team members.

Microsoft provides free version of Microsoft Teams. People who don't already have a paid Office 365 commercial subscription have access to the free version of Teams, any people with any corporate or consumer email address can sign up for Teams.
