Ping in 20H2 vs 1909

Question

Dear experts,
I ping one Win10 PC with 1909 Pro (18363.1316) from another with 20H2 Home (19402.844).
They are connected to a hub and assigned static IPv4 addresses.
Status shown on both PCs is "public network", "Unidentified network / no internet."

Ping works from 20H2 machine to 1909 machine when the firewall on the latter is either ON or OFF.
But from 1909 to 20H2 ping works only when the firewall on 20H2 is OFF.

The question: Is this a known behavior change after ver. 1909 or something is missing in configuration?

I cannot spot any rule that blocks icmp on the 1909 PC.

Hi @Pavel A ,

Please enable File and Printers Sharing(Echo Request - ICMPV4-In) on your 20H2 machine's firewall. Then ping should be work. As picture below:

@Dave Patrick No ICMPv4 rules are enabled on the 20H2 machine. Not in core networking diagnostics, not in file sharing. Inbound or outbound.
