Had a quick question – is it possible to remove all quotes from a document in word. So removing everything within quotations. I thought it could be possible using the find and replace option and wildcards but cannot figure it out.

    Hi @Elisabeth Sanson , Try this method: Click Ctrl + H- under Replace tab- Find what enter (“)(”)*- Replace with enter nothing( if you want to keep quotes, enter: \1\2)- click More >>- Search: All- check Use wildcards- click Replace All:

    The Find expression by emizhang will only work properly (if at all) if the document uses smart quotes exclusively. If any of the double-quotes are plain and others are smart, the results could be disasterous. For safety, use:
    Find = [“"]*["”]
    Replace = nothing

    Since you want to «remove all quotes from a document», there is also no need for the () in the Find expression by emizhang
