How to type Arabic numbers in Arabic 101 keyboard layout in Windows 10?

I added Arabic language in Windows 10 and tried different Regional Settings but could not type Arabic numbers like ٠١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩ . The keyboard layout Arabic 101 is the default one for Arabic localization. When I add Central Kurdish keyboard layout, it is possible to type Arabic numbers. When I add Pashto (Afghanistan) or Persian (Standard), I am able to type Persian numbers. But the keyboard layouts for Arabic 101 and Central Kurdish are a little bit different.

Is there any way to type Arabic numbers in Arabic 101 keyboard layout in Windows 10 except adding/installing additional keyboard layouts? Is it supported in Windows 10 yet?

Best regards,
Volodymyr

Try select the desire keyboard (e.g. Arabic) and navigate to Settings->Time & Language->Region and click on Additional date, time and regional settings ** and from the menu select the **Change date, time, or number format and select Additional settings and you should see Standard digits where you may set the number format.

To type Arabic numbers in the Arabic 101 keyboard layout on Windows 10, you can follow these steps:

    Activate Arabic Keyboard Layout:

    • Ensure that you have activated the Arabic 101 keyboard layout in your Windows 10 settings. You can do this by following the steps mentioned in my previous response.

    Switch to Arabic Input Mode:

    • Press "Alt + Shift" or "Windows Key + Space" to switch your keyboard to Arabic input mode. This will enable you to type in Arabic.

    Typing Arabic Numbers:

    • In the Arabic 101 keyboard layout, the Arabic numbers correspond to the same keys as the English numbers on the standard QWERTY layout. Simply press the keys for the numbers you want to type.

Here's a quick reference for typing Arabic numbers in the Arabic 101 keyboard layout compared to the English QWERTY layout:

    • English Numbers (QWERTY Layout): 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0
    • Arabic Numbers (Arabic 101 Layout): ١ ٢ ٣ ٤ ٥ ٦ ٧ ٨ ٩ ٠

As you can see, the Arabic numbers are on the same keys as their English counterparts. So, when you switch to the Arabic input mode, you can simply type the numbers using the keys you normally would for English numbers.
