GPT and type of partitions

Hi,

Now a days, almost computer systems have GPT partition.

Previously computer systems were mostly based on MBR and with MBR we used to create primary, extended, secondary or logical partitions.

What about these partitions (primary, extended, secondary or logical partitions) with GPT?

Do they have any meaning with GPT?

Please elaborate.

    Hi,

    MBR partition tables can have a maximum of 4 primary partitions or 3 primary partitions + 1 logic partition.

    GTP partition table can have a maximum of 128 primary partitions.
