login failure through SQL server authentication

Hi All I'm currently busy with the AZ900 Program and need to complete an exercise for one of the modules. The exercise consists of steps to create an SQL database and then test it in the sandbox. So I need to log in through SQL server authentication with the provided log in details after adding the client IP address to the firewall settings. However the log in fails. Does this have something to do with the IP Address or maybe settings to privacy & security or something? Please help!!
