Can't create new team

I'm up and running with Teams as guest user at Another company's Teams-site, but I can't set up any new Teams for other Communications.

Hi,

The guest users permissions are limited in Microsoft Teams, but they have the ability to participate in private chats (by default they cannot add or remove channels or tabs), Teams conversations (for joined Teams), and have access to files and the SharePoint information behind the Team as well (they will also be Guest users of the Office 365 Group).

Thanks for youdr reply, LeonLaude, but that is of no help. I can't even set up my own account even if I log out from the guest account.

Better be in touch with the other company's IT administrators so they can assist you with setting up a new account.

@LeonLaude , that is hardly a solution. I must be able to Control my own Communication from my own Company.

Not sure I follow now as there seem to be multiple questions now, your initial question is asking about the guest user at another company's Teams, as we listed there are limitations on what you can and cannot do.

If you also have issues creating teams/channels in your own company, as an admin you can create and manage teams and channels in the Teams client or the Microsoft Teams admin center.

HI, @LeonLaude . The thing is that I can't create a new team from the Teams client. I mentioned the existing quest account just to get feedback if it could cause this problem even if i have logged out from the guest account.

Ok, are you a Teams administrator?

There are three additional levels of Microsoft Teams Administrators that have different portioned levels of organization-wide administrative access to assist in federating the management of Teams:

Teams Communications Administrators can manage calling and meeting features for Microsoft Teams.

Teams Communications Support Engineers have access to call quality, reliability information, and the tools to troubleshoot the technical aspects of Microsoft Teams.

Teams Communications Support Specialists can view user information and call quality analytics to assist in troubleshooting call quality.

Hi @LeonLaude

Frankly, I don't know if I am a Teams Admin. I run my own business and of course I should be the one adminstating my Teams, beside those teams where I'm only quest member.

I have just started with Teams and downloaded the Teams app. The first use of Teams was as a quest. But now I can't proceed and set up any other team even if I log out from the guest account.

I can't log in th the Teams Admin Center, I get this message:

"Sorry, we can't sign you in.
The domain you are trying to sign in to doesn't have any users that have a Microsoft Teams or Skype for Business Online license assigned to them."

I suspect this is because I have only started with the free of charge Teams, and that I need a paid service to be able to administate teams, is that correct?

*Business Essentials
*Business Premium
*Enterprise E1, E3, or E5
*Enterprise E4 (for anyone who purchased this plan prior to its retirement)

As LeonLaude said, the guest experience has limitations by design. Here is a list of some of the functionality that isn't available to a guest in Microsoft Teams:

*OneDrive for Business

*People search outside of Teams

*Calendar, Scheduled Meetings, or Meeting Details

*PSTN

*Organization chart

*Create or revise a team

*Browse for a team

*Upload files to a person-to-person chat

*Currently, Teams supports only State 1 and State 2 types of guest users as defined by Azure B2B
