remote desktop session disconnection due to protocol error

Connecting win 10 pro 1909 to win 10 pro 1909 by RDP.
No issues in past with this connection, these two pc's.
Now being disconnected, after successful connection, after 5-10 seconds with error:
"Because of protocol error, this session will be disconnected. Please try connecting to the remote computer again".

I have researched all notation of this error online - none seems to fit my situation.
Any help appreciated.

    Hello @Tom-4632,

    If you are still stuck on this issue, I suggest few things 1. In 'Show Options' select/unselect various options and check 2. Login the same server with a different user. Right click task manager in remote server and users>Log off the problematic user. Try again
