RDS FSLogix Profile Containers multiple connections with Remoteapps

We use FSLogix Profile Containers for our new RDS farm. The RD session hosts are accessed via RDP. From the RDSH further via remote apps to other RDSH app servers. Also remote apps are accessed via the new HTML5 portal. We have split the SH servers for RDP and a lot of applications separately.

If a user downloads a file on the RDP SH, it ends up under Downloads as usual. If he now calls a remote app, this file is not yet visible there on this RDSH app server, because he has not yet logged out of the RDP-SH. If the remote app is closed, I am not automatically logged out of the RDSH app server.

If I log in/out individually, everything works without problems. FSLogix explicitly supports multiple connections. We have followed the corresponding instructions: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fslogix/configure-concurrent-multiple-connections-ht.
As value for ProfileTyp we have set Mode 4.

However, we are currently at a loss and do not know how to get all data to be in sync. For example, the remote apps also access the FSLogix user profile of the current RDSH app server. Alternatively, would it be possible for the RDSH app servers to simply access the (first) FSLogix user profile from the RDP-SH?

If the environment is of a certain size, it is imperative to split the applications across individual VM's.This should not be an uncommon scenario? How do you guys do this? We just don't know how to do it.

    Hello @CAG Kraut ,

1.There is no Mode 4 as a profile type. You've set as Mode 3.
2.What you try to do is not possible with FSLogix. Even with concurrent access, at the time when multiple sessions are active, the concurrent writes will land in VHD diff-disks, one for each active session. They will be merged with the initial profile after logout.
3.For multiple desktop sessions, the workaround would be to use OneDrive and sychronize the Downloads folder via OneDrive to have it accessible in multiple sessions. Another option would be, to redirect the Downloads folder to a network share and store the data there.

    Hello @CAG Kraut ,

    Thanks for your query.

1.What's the registry configuration of your fslogix? Do you use cloud cache?
2.Do you deploy RDS farm on Azure and apply fslogix to all the session host?

    Hello @CAG Kraut ,

    Thanks for your information.

1.Did you use one file server to store fslogix profile or use cluster of two file servers?

2.Did you enable the following policy for the session host?
Computer Config | Administrative Templates | FSLogix | Profile Containers | Allow concurrent user sessions | Enabled
