trouble with wsus code 80244007

I have a recent problem with wsus server. The server not download the new patches of security (2021-05) with the code :

It's work for the 2012r2 server and PC. Don't work with the server 2016 et 2019.

I change the web.config paramter prerequis 400 to 800

Can you help me.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
For error code 80244007, this issue occurs when the number of updates to be synchronized exceeds the maximum number of installed prerequisites that a WSUS client can pass to SyncUpdates.
You might have checked below article, after change the web.config from 400 to 800, did you run IISReset? Does the solution work for you?

Sorry for my english.
I change the file web.config with the line 400 to 800 and i run IISReset.
The solution not work for me.
We have two wsus. Wsus don't work on the réplica.
I have to change the file web.config also on the master

Do you mean you do not change the value of web.config to 800 for the master WSUS server before?
So after you change the file web.config also on the master WSUS server, does it work now?

The wsus master manage a zone with 3 servers. The wsus master works fine therefore i not change the value in the wsus master.
The réplica manage a zone with the other server.
I still have to change the value on wsus master ?

No i have 18567 updates and the default value is 22000. The limit is ok.
But i have not the same version of server : master 10.0.1.17763.1971 and the replica 10.0.1.17763.678
is it impotant ?

I have log client in reportingEvents.
update client failed after an update microsoft defender antivirus - KB2267602 (version 1.341.201.0)

The different versions should have no effect, you may try to change the value of web.config to 800 on WSUS master to see if it helps.

The few server 2016 that received the updates, windows defender is disabled.

Sorry ,
as the number of updates was below 22000, I did not have to modify the "maxCachedUpdates" value of the web.config file.
I just changed the value to 44000 and everything is working now.

Thanks you for the update and we're glad the problem is solved now, I checked the Web.config file, if the limit for "maxCacheUpdates" or "maxInstalledPrerequisites" is exceeded, it will throw an InvalidParameters exception.

Worked for me: I changed "maxcachedupdates" from 22000 to 30000.
Environment: WSUS Server with Server 2012 R2, client is the first Server 2022 in that particular domain.
