My computer gets notified when i plug in my speakers but they dont play any audio!!!

so when i plug my external speakers in i get a notification asking what i plugged in so i say speaker out and typically after that audio will play through my external speakers but now when i select speaker or any of the other options no audio will play through my external speakrs they just play though my laptops speakers. pls help my special / autistic laptop. same happens with my headset.

    Hi，
    As you mentioned that both of your external headset and speaker doesn’t work, only internal speaker works. It is probably caused by audio driver so
    I suggest you take the following steps to find out and solve the issue,

    • 1, connect your external autistic device to another PC/Laptop to verify its works well
    • 2,select Start → Settings → Update & Security → Troubleshoot → Additional Troubleshooters → Playing audio → Run the troubleshooter
    • 3, Disable local speaker, right click the loudspeaker icon at right side of task bar (system tray), then select Sound, click playback and recording to see whether your laptop can recognize your external devices, disable local device by right click and disable accordingly and test your plugged in devices.
    • 4. Update audio driver, press WIN+X and then open the Device Manager select inputs and outputs update drivers by right clicking and choosing update driver accordingly.
