How to exit full screen of MCI?

Cannot exit full screen after calling mciSendString("play movie fullscreen",NULL,0,NULL). ESC and F11 don't work. Please help.

It's just a normal mpeg video.
static HWND hstatic=CreateWindowA("static","",...);
...
std::stringstream ss;
ss<<"open shapeofyou.mpeg alias movie type mpegvideo style "<<WS_CHILD<<" parent "<<uint64_t(hstatic);
mciSendString(ss.str().c_str(),NULL,0,NULL);
mciSendString("play movie fullscreen",NULL,0,NULL);
Then it plays well, but do not know how to exit full screen.

You make the default display window as a child window of own created window. Owned created window doesn't act to F11 or Esc key press by default. Could you try this command string to see if it helps? ss << "open shapeofyou.mpeg alias movie type avivideo";
