Teams for linux bluetooth headset mic not working

I am running Elementary OS 5.1 (Hera) - Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS and Teams seems to work ok so far, except with my bluetooth headset. It routes the audio to the headset fine, but the microphone always is from my laptop not from the headset. It also seems a bit unstable...sometimes it works on my headset and sometimes Teams locks up and crashes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is my card info:

Do you try the other brand Bluetooth headsets? Does anybody else have the same problem? Maybe you could create a support request from https://admin.microsoft.com so the engineer team can troubleshoot and assist you in resolving this issue.

In my case, the microphone of the laptop works for all other apps, including Teams Test Call which works fine.. But once I enter a meeting, no microphone, no sound output!

NO amount of fiddling with Sound Settings of teams helps.

The device is an Acer Nitro 5.. the OS is Fedora 31 with all updates applied..
Again, NO other app has problems with the microphone or the speakers..
I tried running teams as root but still the same issue..

I tried plugging in a USB webcam with a microphone. .same problem. no output, no input from Teams.

I have the same issue with the latest version, i reported this as feedback through the app.

The bluetooth headsets (Sony WH-1000XM3 ) are not recognized, but they work perfectly fine using the webapp with Chrome.

    Anyone able to resolve this?
Using latest version of the app at time of writing and Ubuntu 20.04

    I'm experiencing the same issue.

Using the linux app, output audio is routed to the headset but the mic does not work.

Tested with a Bose On-Ear Wireless headset. Works fine on the webapp with Chrome.

    Same issue here.
The microphone used is always laptop's internal Microsoft even if I attach any Bluetooth speaker or headphones or earphones.
