I've implemented MFA using ADFS on-prem and Azure MFA. Basic implementation sends a text message on user's phone to validate login.
We want to extend this implementation and introduce push notifications through Microsoft Authenticator app. Is it supported with AD FS on-prem? Where to get started with this implementation?

Will this work in an environment where ADFS on-prem uses Azure MFA?

You can use Azure MFA (not Azure MFA Server) with ADFS directly. This is described here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/identity/ad-fs/operations/configure-ad-fs-and-azure-mfa (maybe that's what you followed). The type of MFA will depend on what you enabled on your tenant and what the user has enrolled to.

Just to clarify, will this let us send push notifications if we enable some features in tenant and for a user?
