Embed Video in Outlook

Question

Is there any way to show a video from within an Outlook 2016/365 client? For example, like a YouTube video, where the user would click the play button and view the video within outlook instead of opening an external browser?

Based on my research, embedding and directly playing videos in a mail message isn't supported in Outlook client for various reasons (mainly security related). Here are some relevant thread and article:

So, there may be no option that could meet your need in Outlook, if you still need this fuction and would like to submit some suggestions about it, it's recommended to submit a feedback in Outlook like below(Help>Suggest a feature), your time and effort would be highly appreciated and benefit Microsoft improve the product in the feature.
