Hi,

We are currently experiencing an issue on the B2C password verification steps. This is happening to some users only, they are receiving the error "The claims to verify have been changed" after verifying the OTP email code.

This process is working for most users and some are receiving this error. I can't diagnose the issue as it is working for me.

Could anyone provide some assistance?

This appears to be an open bug in Azure B2C and can be replicated by using a combination of the keyboard and mouse. For example, clicking on "send code" then pasting the code and hitting the enter key on the keyboard. I am not sure if Microsoft is aware of the bug.

Using all keyboard or all mouse generally does not appear to cause the error and the user can verify the email address and proceed.

Thanks and this error " The claims to verify have been changed" occurred when the claims validation failed. It means the claims stored in the original state versus user journey steps are different. The error message such as Validate before self asserted Validation claim have changed. Could you please use the Application Insight and find the claims changed from step 1 to next steps for user journeys.

Please find the document to use Application Insight with B2C:-
