Background effects for microsoft teams on andriod

Question

I have a Samsung s20fe phone running andriod 11. I’m using it as my webcam for teams meetings instead of up of purchasing one while I work from home. I want to apply a background effect during this meeting but option doesn’t at the screen just before joining meeting. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Hello Lou,

thanks for responding i uninstalled and installed the Teams app on my phone unfortunately there was no option for me to choose video meeting. Im still not getting the background effects option at screen you have displayed.

Do you mean like this:

Please try re-install to test, and make sure you're not calling or joining a audio meeting.
And could you find the option after joining the meeting?

No Lou,
It is not like that, i am using Lenovo TB - X505F,
Even i am a beta user of teams , then also (in the App Version) it is not showing the background effects. (Only in Web Version). But there is a problem in web, that the device hangs, in Android. But Microsoft , should add this feature in the app version also.

So that we can also put background effects. And one more request, to you all, how to add custom Background??.

Same problem on S20 FE. No issues on older Samsung Galaxy models. Why is this feature still locked out?
