Resource not found at endpoint URL

Question

Hi,

I followed all steps here including adding the Cognitive Services Contributor role to my user account

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cognitive-services/cognitive-services-apis-create-account?tabs=multiservice%2Cwindows

and I created the resource using my user account : a cognitive service called clownkongcognitiveservices in the UK South Region. The provided endpoint url is :

https://clownkongcognitiveservices.cognitiveservices.azure.com/

this is the response from the server {"error":{"code":"404","message": "Resource not found"}}

Similarly an attempt to authenticate in script with the key and endpoint and make a request fails.

As far as I can see it does not find a place to connect and there is no authentication attempted.

Are you able to check to see if the configuration and endpoint url is correct or if I have missed something?

@Software Developer Thanks for the details, Here is the link to Quickstart: Use the Read client library or REST API. We are able to execute the quick start successfully. The source code for this sample can be found on the github link.

There is a brand new online portal provided by Microsoft to test this service, among others, without developing (but it will use your own Azure resources): https://preview.vision.azure.com/demo/OCR

The advantage is that it will directly list your available resources so you just have to pick the right one, then you test, and there are also some samples.

Apologies slow reply, I can confirm these samples work for me and I have been using them successfully. I did change region to Central US though. Unsure if that matters.
